Our bass instructors teach a variety of music from rock, blues, and metal, to country and classical styles– on both electric and acoustic basses. Beginners can expect to practice chords, simple songs and melodies, sight-reading, and theory. With every lesson, instructors intend to challenge you with a new technical and musical theory. Each lesson ends with something fun, such as practicing your favorite tune. According to each student’s particular needs and preferences, we select and utilize different bass method books. Instructors in Jenison also encourage the use of student’s personal smart phones, iPods, and CDs at lessons to practice their preferred tunes.
